There are so many different ways to stay in touch now days, including different social media platforms. Even large Fortune 500 companies are jumping on the band wagon of Twitter. Now days you have to stay in touch with the consumer and you have to do it online and offline. I love Facebook and and Ping.fm to stay in touch online and of course email is still an option! Are you using all the tools out there to keep you in touch. Are you connecting with your clients and their friends on Facebook? Are you posting video testimonials on YouTube? Are you blogging about your day and your business on your blog? Do you send out Thank You notes to your clients, referral sources and those you meet? These are just a few of the places that you can get connected through. Put something to use today, you’ll be glad you did.
I am the wife of a busy Atlanta home inspector and I do most of the marketing for our home inspection business. I am constantly online learning about SEO, social network marketing, blogging, Google adwords and anything relating to the internet. I teach classes and tele-seminars about blogging and social media. I am part of an Internet Success Marketing Mastermind group and love helping people in general. You can follow me on Twitter and on Face book.
Want traffic, need traffic, don’t know where to start?

I ran across the following information over at Prep (Positive Real Estate Professionals) which is a site that I have been using now for quite a while to help drive traffic and create link backs to my own sites. I was impressed with the job that these guys do already, but after reading this, I’m blown away! So here’s the information:
when we were discussing putting a blog together for the Arkansas Realtors® Association (ARA), one question popped up from time to time — “Why don’t we host the blog ourselves?”
Some thought was given to hosting a blog on our ARA site, but we tried that once and it didn’t go over to well for want of traffic. That, folks, was the primary reason for making the decision to go with Positive Real Estate Professionals (PREP) — a growing real estate community that has spent the past few months helping people who make a living through real estate (agents, mortgage bankers, etc.) set up blogs and drive traffic to them.
Our little ARA blog opened about halfway through Monday and I feel compelled to share some traffic counts. From Monday through Friday, 1,866 unique visitors visited The Arkansas Realtor and we’ve recorded an average bounce rate of 18.98 percent.
Let me explain what all that means. The unique visitors count represents individual visits. If someone visited the site 30 times in the same day, only one visit would be recorded. So, 1,866 indviduals have made it to our blog over the past few days. That’s impressive and that 18.98 percent bounce rate is outstanding.
A high bounce rate, see, would mean that people are looking at the blog then quickly moving on to something else. If you have a low bounce rate, that means that people are sticking around and reading the content posted. A bounce rate below 40 percent is considered fantastic, I’m told, and this blog whips the socks off of that. Hopefully, that will continue.
What PREP has done for us is not only drive traffic to our site through social networking, but help get traffic that is meaningful. The PREP folks have found ways to get people here who can use the information we post. We don’t have to worry about promoting articles through Digg, Reddit, Facebook, Twitter, etc. because the folks at PREP take care of that for us.
Of course, I am impressed at how excited our ARA members are about the blog and know that a lot of them have visited, too. The support from Arkansas Realtors is always appreciated and, in fact, we at the ARA wouldn’t be pursuing this project if we didn’t think it would benefit our members.

Home Inspectors Wife shares “7 Steps to Driving Prospects to Your Website”

As the Atlanta home inspectors wife, I was constantly searching on the interent and through websites for information on how to build our Atlanta Home Inspection website and how to be found on Google. Below is a great article by Shayne Harris that explains some great tips on how to drive traffic your way.
As a professional online marketer, I am often asked, what are the best ways to drive traffic to your website?
1) Online Social Networking
Face book, Linked in, Tweeter, My space are great sites to network and meet potential customers, always have your website as your signature, and make sure that your website is featured, in your profile, and on the page that is supplied by the social online networking service you sign up too.
2) Start your own Blog
Promote your business, make sure you update frequently, this can be a fun and effective way to let everyone know about your website, make sure inform your customers why they should do business with you, make it personable, and you will be using one of the most effective tools to promote your website.
3) Writing articles,
Create good content, so as other website owners will pick up your article and post it on their website, this will then link back to your website.
Make sure what you write is relevant to what your website is about and as such you will then attract targeted customers.
4) Pay per click, through search engines,
Search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and MSN.
You can now decide how much traffic you want, but you do pay for it and you need to study this concept thoroughly; you can make a lot of money.
But you can also waste it, Decide on your budget, and keep an eye on it, don’t go overboard until you know what you are doing.
5) Take advantage of Email signatures
With every email that you send, you can be promoting your website by pasting your website link as a signature at the bottom of your email.
Make sure you have a power statement that causes people to click on it.
The big advantage here is you can send a group mail out to your mailing list and if you have the right effective link you will be advertising your website to large numbers of people with one click of a button.
6) Set up your own newsletter, this helps you stay in touch with your clients
And also gives you the opportunity to introduce your website, make sure you offer good content, don’t make it look like some never ending commercial, this turns people off make your newsletter, resourceful and provide valuable information.
7) Optimize your site
Search engine optimization better known as SEO is the end result of modifying the content on your website, to improve search engine ranking, done properly this will increase traffic to your site as over 70% of the people looking for products and services.
