As an Alpharetta home inspector, David is always taking some of the craziest pictures. A lot of the times I’m still trying to figure out exactly what the problem is, but you see, here’s the key. David is trained and certified to look for these types of items and I’m not, and most home buyers are not trained either. I think about some of the things that David has ran across while doing a thorough home inspection (including snakes, bats and other creepy crawling things) and I just shutter. There is no way that I would go in some of the places that a home inspector has to go.

Here’s one of the problems that David runs across as an Atlanta home inspector on numerous inspections. It’s a dryer vent that is coiled up and laying on the floor. This traps the lint in the vent and it is considered a safety hazard.

Finding a home inspector in the Atlanta area is not a difficult task. In fact there are hundreds of home inspectors in the North Atlanta area such as Cumming, Canton, Woodstock, Roswell, Alpharetta, and Marietta. Out of all of those home inspectors only a select number are actually certified Georgia home inspectors.

The process of the home inspection requires about four hours for most homes and a professional home inspector would invite you to be there for the home inspection. The Atlanta Home Inspectors Wife shares a story about Gratefulness

I have once again started listening to the science of getting rich cds that I purchased and was reminded of the grateful attitude. See right now, especially around Christmas, it is so easy to maybe focus on what one doesn’t have or what one can’t do or can’t get for their kids that we forget all that we have to be grateful for. I have so many things to be grateful for…..I have a loving family, both my family and my husbands family live close by and we can visit them anytime we choose. My whole family is very healty and doing well. My kids are great kids, even tho one is 16 and one is 11, I have yet to see those “bad teenage years” that so many talk about. Now I think this is a KEY – I have always said “I have great kids and I try to never speak in a negative manner about them.” I believe that you attract what you say! Back to the book, it also taught me that focusing on what I didn’t want to happen in my life actually brought it into my life. Now before anyone gets to wondering, I am a born again spirit filled believer, in love with Jesus, and I believe that God, the Father, is the giver of all good things. So I know who to be grateful to…. I also think that with my actions and attitudes I open the door for the things that I want to happen and the things that I don’t. With everything going on in the real estate market, it would be very easy for me to get into the same attitude of gloom and doom as others, but I chose not to and even tho we have had less home inspections this past month, our average for the year is up, we did really well in the home inspection profession this year, and for that we are exceedingly grateful. And we could not have done it without you, our customers, so to each and everyone of you a great big “THANK YOU!”

Crazy days in this home inspectors wifes life

Things have been going on and to be honest it’s been kind of crazy around here since Christmas. We’re gearing up for our new marketing launch after the first of the year and can’t wait to share with our news letter group some of the great marketing tools and tips that we have been studying and learning in a few different MasterMind groups that we’re apart of. I think the Mastermind calls start back up next week and I can’t wait. I have learned so much about SEO and Adwords and writing that I can’t wait to start putting it all to work. It’s almost over whelming!!!!

This was a cold day for home inspections

David, my husband who is an Atlanta home inspector was out doing an emergency inspection today. Every time I look out side and heard the wind blow, I thought about how cold it was. I wonder how home inspectors up in the north make it. It was cold to me here today and I know several places that have snow right now. Has anyone else wondered how they do a home inspection when there is snow on the roof of the home their suppose to be inspecting. That is one of those things that I would mind having some feedback on. When it snows and the guys up north still able to do an inspection? I know when it rains, David is still out there. Today was interesting because he got over to the home in Alpharetta and it was winterized. The water wasn’t on so David could not perform the full inspection, he couldn’t check the kitchen or bathroom areas and several other items. He’ll have to go back on Monday. That is one of the things that most people don’t think about when calling for a home inspection, is all utilities need to be on. Well that’s it for today. Sometimes as a home inspectors wife it can be a little worrisome, the Atlanta market is not the most favorable for us. But all in all we had a great year. We we’re steady in home inspections, and we filled in with roof , pool and spa, and radon inspections. There was a lot of people who didn’t realize that a new home needs an inspection so we missed a few of those, but the ones we did we found several issues on every roof.
